Dope is the culmination of everything I’ve worked on during my time studying at UniSA. Found objects, ink, paint, storytelling, it’s all here, the only thing missing is cannabis. Discovering the creative power of cannabis has completely changed my art in ways I didn’t think were possible. I can free my mind and express myself unimpeded.

The idea that cannabis, a completely legitimate medicine and something which most people have experimented with at one point or another, is illegal and still holds such a stigma is something which leaves me genuinely baffled. Attempting to dispel this stigma and showcase the creative and healing potential of cannabis is my true goal with Dope. This is something which will always be part of my work regardless of the reception it may receive.
